Track Basecamp2 with Yoke

Yoke.io uses Basecamp APIs to report on tasks, topics, events, and updates in your Basecamp projects.

About the integration

Yoke uses OAuth2 and secure REST APIs to connect to Basecamp.

Card Types

You can track the following measures in your Basecamp account:

  • To-dos assigned to you in a project, optionally within a to-do list and/or due date within a certain date
  • To-dos assigned to anyone in a project, optionally within a to-do list and/or due date within a certain date
  • Upcoming events in the next 7, 14 or 30 days, in a specific project or across all of them
  • Topics recently updated by others, in a specific project or across all of them
  • Recent updates made by others, in a specific project or across all of them

Alerting logic

Yoke will alert you on to-dos that are overdue.

Slack integration

You can query your Basecamp cards from Slack using slash commands.

Automatic bookmarks in Chrome

The Yoke Auto-Bookmarks Extension turns the to-dos, topics, events and updates picked up by your Basecamp cards into bookmarks in Chrome.

Tips for Yoke users

Basecamp is a comprehensive task management and collaboration tool. You can set up your Yoke cards based on your role within a project.

For project managers

If you manage a project, you should consider tracking the recent updates made by others as a Yoke card on your board. This is an easy way to stay up to date on the project without getting bombarded with emails and other push notifications.

You can also keep track of the upcoming events to make sure that your team is ready to deliver the milestones and demos as promised.

Yoke supports cards to track open to-dos in a project. You should consider breaking down the to-dos into staged to-do lists to help focus on the important and urgent tasks.

For product managers and customers

You can keep track of the recently updated topics and the upcoming events to make sure that you understand the ongoing discussions and upcoming deliverables.

For team members

If you are a team member, you can track the to-dos assigned to you in different projects and to-do lists as cards on your Yoke board.

You can also track topics that are being discussed by others to stay up-to-date on the conversations and decisions made by your team and your customers.
