Track StackDriver with Yoke

Yoke.io uses Stackdriver APIs to report on key metrics such as the number of days since the last alert.

About the integration

Yoke uses OAuth2 and secure REST APIs to connect to Stackdriver. You can get the REST API token by going to User → Account Settings → API keys. Please pick the read-only API token, not the Agent token.

Card Type

Yoke can track the days since the last outage in a Stackdriver policy. You can click the card to see the prior downtimes.

Alerting logic

Yoke will alert you if a policy failed in the last day.

Slack integration

You can query your Stackdriver cards from Slack using slash commands.

Automatic bookmarks in Chrome

The Yoke Auto-Bookmarks Extension automatically creates a bookmark per StackDriver card with the measure and the title of the card, such as "30 days since the last outage". The bookmark points to the appropriate page in StackDriver.

Tips for Yoke users

Stackdriver is a cloud-based service that monitors your cloud infrastructure.

Yoke helps improve DevOps in teams that use Stackdriver.

  • Folks on the "dev" side can use Yoke to pay attention to outages, investigate the root causes and historical patterns, and find solutions to avoid future outages.
  • Folks on the "ops" side can use Yoke to see how different services are performing from an uptime perspective, and give honest feedback to developers.
