Track Evernote with Yoke

Yoke.io uses Evernote APIs to track notes in your notebooks.

About the integration

Yoke uses OAuth2 and secure proprietary APIs to connect to Evernote.

Card Types

You can track the following measures in your Evernote account:

  • notes in a notebook
  • notes tagged with specific tags, like "todo" or "waiting-for"
  • notes with a reminder
  • notes matching a search criteria

Slack integration

You can query your Evernote cards from Slack using slash commands.

Automatic bookmarks in Chrome

The Yoke Auto-Bookmarks Extension turns the notes picked up by your Evernote cards into bookmarks in Chrome. Clicking the bookmarks takes you directly to note in your Evernote account.

Tips for Yoke users

Evernote is an extremely popular note-taking application that lets you take notes, clip content from the web, upload scanned documents and more. While Evernote helps you remember everything, Yoke helps you track the things that matter in your Evernote account.

Notes in important notebooks such as "Inbox" and "Projects" can be tracked as cards in your Yoke dashboard. This helps you stay on top of the urgent and important tasks.

You can also use a tagging system where you mark notes as "waiting-for", "next-action", etc., use Yoke to keep track of these notes. This is an interesting way of turning your notes in Evernote into tasks in Yoke. You can read more about tagging here.

Yoke also supports a powerful feature that you can track notes with any search criteria, some of the examples are:

  • Track notes containing the word “chicken”, tagged with “cooking”, and created this year: chicken tag:cooking created:year
  • Track notes tagged with “cooking” but not “mexican” that include the word “beef” but not the word “carrots”: tag:cooking -tag:mexican beef -carrots
  • Track notes in my “Travel” notebook with San Francisco in the title: notebook:Travel intitle:“San Francisco”
  • Track notes that either include the text “San Francisco” or are tagged with the “SFO” tag: any: “San Francisco” tag:SFO
  • Track image notes from the Sunnyvale region: resource:image/ latitude:37 -latitude:38 longitude:-123 -longitude:-122
  • Track untagged audio notes that I edited in the last week or two: -tag: resource:audio/* updated:week-1

One-Click Archive

Yoke supports One-Click Archive to archive/move any note in Yoke card to any notebook you select when creating the card. This provides a quick way to process items and either archive them or move them to a "Next-Action" notebook. Click Evernote search grammar for more detail information.
