Track Buffer with Yoke uses Buffer APIs to report on key metrics such as the days of buffered messages remaining in a channel.

About the integration

Yoke cards help entrepreneurs, small business owners and marketers ensure that they are regularly engaging with their followers on Twitter, Google Plus, LinkedIn and more, using Buffer.

Yoke uses OAuth2 and secure REST APIs to connect to Buffer.

Card Types

You can track the following measures in your Buffer account:

  • number of days of buffered messages in a linked account
  • number of buffered messages in a linked account

Alerting logic

The first card type will alert you if you have less than 3 days of buffer. The second card type will warn you if your Buffer is empty.

Slack integration

You can query your Buffer cards from Slack using slash commands.

Automatic bookmarks in Chrome

The Yoke Auto-Bookmarks Extension automatically bookmarks the upcoming posts picked up by your Buffer cards to help you access them quickly.

Tips for Yoke users

Buffer is a great way to regularly post content to your accounts. With Yoke, you can make sure that you have a healthy "buffer" of content. You can visit your Buffer account by clicking any link in the detailed card.

Stick to a realistic schedule for your posts. It is better to post once a week, than try to post daily and fail.

Don't spam your followers with too many repetitive posts. Feel free to re-post high-quality content developed by others — with attribution, of course.

Try to do a weekly review of likes, user feedback and statistics to ensure that the buffered content is useful to your followers.
