Yoke uses OAuth2 and secure REST APIs to connect to Slack.
You can track the following measures in your Slack account:
A machine learning algorithm figures out how often you reset your Slack card in Yoke and warns you if you haven't read a channel/group for longer than usual.
The Yoke Auto-Bookmarks Extension automatically creates a bookmark per Slack card with the measure and the title of the card, such as "21 unread messages in #general". The bookmark points to the corresponding group/channel page in Slack.
Notifications are disruptive interruptions that make you forget what you should be doing, i.e., unproductive. You can minimize your notifications by following these steps:
You can track informative channels with Yoke. You don't need Yoke to track urgent channels since you will receive notifications.
Always use a mention if you want someone to look at your message.
Slack integrations are helpful in getting everyone on the same page. But channels and chat messages are not the best way to organize information or tasks. A comment that belongs in the source system, like Asana, JIRA, or Zendesk, must not remain a message in Slack.
For the same reason, important conversations in Slack must be summarized in an app that promotes better organization and tracking, such as a project management system or Wiki.
